On May 1, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution #2012-302 approving funding to the City under the County’s CDBG program for the development of the Wrice Center Green Community Annex, in the amount of $242,279.

Description of Action

The proposed Wrice Center Green Community Annex will improve both 56 NW 8^th Avenue located adjacent to the Wrice Center Green Community Annex and the Dania Beach Patch located at 1200 NW 1^st Street.  The improvements include gazebos, gardening work stations, six storage bins, a bike rack, cisterns, fencing, solar lighting, walk-ways, a flower garden, a community notice board and other various building/gardening materials and educational information.

To move forward with the Wrice Center Green Community Annex, the City Commission needs to take the following action:

• Approve the resolution, attached, allowing the allocation of CDBG funds to fund the Wrice Center Green Community Annex Project.
